I was assigned the dinner event coverage at The Nightwood Society with Michelin three-star Chef Dominique Crenn of San Francisco’s Atelier Crenn, Chef Kristen Murray of Måurice in Portland, and Michelin two-star Chef Emma Bengtsson of Aquavit in New York.
The evening was really unforgettable: not only would I hope to convey the emotion and motion of such a night, but this is easily one of my favorite sets. The culmination of the evening naturally progressed into dancing, which you’ll find in the set, and I hope conveys the emotion of the night overall.
I also photographed an event at Blockhouse featuring Pigeon Toe ceramics and Lord Birthday.
In early 2019, Carrie and Jannie Huang of Little Green Pickle approached me to return in photographing again for their food and beverage festival Feast Portland.
I was assigned dinner event photography for The Joy of Cooking at Blockhouse with James Beard Award-winning Chef Naomi Pomeroy of Beast and Chef Michael Scelfo of Alden & Harlow, Waypoint, and The Longfellow Bar. I was also assigned event photography for The Big Feast, featuring Bon Appétit editors Carla Lalli Music, Andy Baraghani, Adam Rapoport, and Brad Leone, as well as local chefs Doug Adams of Bullard, Chris Cosentino of Jackrabbit, to name a couple.
